Zion, Bismarck's Board of Lay Ministry invites you to attend a special luncheon in the church basement, Sunday, July 12, at 12pm, in recognition of Rev. Thomas R. Marcis Jr.'s 40 years in ministry. Rev. Marcis graduated from Concordia Seminary St. Louis on May 23, 1986. He was ordained and installed at St. Luke, Zap, ND, on July 6, 1986. In 1989, he accepted the call to Zion, Bismarck, where he continues to serve today. Over the past 40 years, Rev. Marcis has served the church at large in a variety of roles: as a Synodical Reconciler, chairman for the LCMS Board for Human Care, chairman for the Advisory Committee for LCMS World Relief, chairman for the North Dakota District Board of Directors, director for the North Dakota District Division of Education, and chairman for the North Dakota District Rural Ministry Task Force.
